Community spotlight: Free disaster preparedness event on July 25

Community Assistance Center is hosting a free disaster preparedness event on July 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the East Montgomery County Community Center. It is all about helping families get ready before the next disaster strikes.

Attendees will be able to pick up practical resources while supplies last, including:

• Free preparedness kits
• Free produce
• HEB gift cards
• Additional supplies to help keep families safe

This event is funded by United Way of Greater Houston and Verizon, a United Way Worldwide partner.

Tuesday ribbon cutting: Tiny Tundra Snow Cones

The week starts with a warm welcome to a new business in the community, even if their specialty is keeping everyone cool.

Tiny Tundra Snow Cones is being welcomed to the business community with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at their new location on 1314.

Ribbon cuttings are always more than a photo moment. They are a chance to support a local business, celebrate growth, and show what a connected chamber community looks like in action.

Thursday ribbon cutting and networking: 936-600-DUMP and Traveling Thirsty Thursday

Thursday brings a two-in-one opportunity, and it is one you will not want to miss.

The chamber will welcome 936-600-DUMP with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m.. That celebration kicks off Traveling Thirsty Thursday, presented by Porter Insurance, at The Clubs of Kingwood.

After the ribbon cutting, stick around for the rest of the event, which continues until 6:30 p.m..
