Celebrating Community Pride Through Business Curb Appeal
A community’s pride is often reflected in its appearance — and that’s why the Greater EMC Chamber is launching the Proud Property Awards. This new program celebrates local businesses and commercial properties within East Montgomery County that exemplify curb appeal, create a positive first impression, and set the standard for a community we can all be proud of.
Evaluation Criteria
To qualify for recognition, business and commercial properties within East Montgomery County must meet the following standards of curb appeal and maintenance:

Established Presence: The building must be at least two years old and free from visible structural or cosmetic damage.

Exterior Condition: Paint should be in good repair — no fading, flaking, or peeling.

Landscaping: Grounds must be well maintained, neatly trimmed, and free of debris.

Signage: Signs should be clean, intact, and unfaded, representing the business clearly and professionally.

Parking & Drive Areas: Driveways and parking lots must be paved, properly striped, and kept clear of debris to ensure a safe and attractive appearance.
Nomination & Selection Process
The Proud Property Awards program invites the community to take part in celebrating excellence throughout East Montgomery County.
Nominations are accepted year-round from residents, business owners, and community members who wish to recognize properties that reflect local pride and high standards of appearance.
A selection committee of Chamber representatives will review nominations and present awards quarterly to businesses and commercial properties that best exemplify curb appeal, maintenance, and community pride.
Recognition
Award recipients will be recognized publicly through Chamber communications, social media, and local announcements — highlighting those who help make East Montgomery County a community we can all be proud of.
