Greater EMC Chamber Weekly Opportunities – September 2026 Week 1

Weekly Opportunities: September 2026 Week 1

Hello friends, Chamber Cheri here with a packed lineup of ways to connect, build your business, support local families, and get involved across our vibrant Greater EMC Chamber community.
September is full of opportunities for Chamber members, local businesses, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, and community supporters. Mark the calendar, register early, and come ready to engage.
Support Family Promise of Lake Houston at Chicks and Hogs
Our video sponsor this month is Family Promise of Lake Houston, an organization doing meaningful work to help local families with children find shelter and build lasting stability.
For 16 years, Family Promise has brought the community together through its Chicks and Hogs event. It is a chance to enjoy great barbecue, cold drinks, family fun, and a purpose that reaches far beyond a good meal.
Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and sizzling plate served helps Family Promise continue providing critical support for families in our area.
Chicks and Hogs takes place September 26. Come hungry and help make a difference for local families. Visit fplh.org for event details and more information.
Chamber 101 and the Monthly Luncheon
It is luncheon week, beginning Wednesday with Chamber 101, presented by Jeanna Bumpas, Commercial Insurance Advisor.
Chamber 101 is the place to get clear on everything your Chamber membership can offer. Whether you are brand new, need help navigating member opportunities, or simply want a refresher on the resources available to you, this class is for you.
Attendance is free, so be sure to register now and make the most of your membership.
Immediately following Chamber 101 is our monthly Chamber Luncheon, presented by UT MD Anderson.
We are excited to hear from New Caney ISD Superintendent Matt Calvert. There will also be an opportunity to win a center prize from Mission Northeast, along with delicious food from Amadeo's Italian Restaurant.
These gatherings are about more than lunch. They are a valuable opportunity to strengthen local connections, hear from community leaders, and stay engaged with what is happening in the Greater EMC area.
