2021 Luncheons

The December Luncheon's presenting sponsor was Fountainwood at Lake Houston and our presentation was on all our reasons to celebrate the past year. The featured caterer was Carrabba's Italian Grill.

November - The Honor Our Veterans Lunch presented by Aflac - Chris McIlroy 

The November Luncheon's presenting sponsor was Alfac - Chris McIlroy and our speaker was Judge Jimmie C. Edwards III, Chairman of the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission. Jimmie C. Edwards III is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. He graduated from Conroe High School, class of ’66, after attending Capitol Page School at the Library of Congress. In 1969, while attending the University of Maryland he volunteered for the United States Marine Corps. The featured caterer was G&G's Catering and Desserts.

October - The Future of Freight presented by Designed Realty Group 

The October Luncheon's presenting sponsor was Designed Realty Group and our speaker was Michael Yager of Freight Shuttle Xpress. As a chamber, we like to know about emerging concepts being introduced to our region. The Freight Shuttle Xpress (FSX) concept was initiated at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute for the purposes of finding a low-emissions alternative to moving freight and relieving congestion created by trucks in heavy freight corridors. The Freight Shuttle moves truck trailers (up to 53 ft.), domestic intermodal containers (up to 53 ft.), and all sizes of ocean shipping containers via emissions-free, electric-powered transporters on elevated guideways in the medians of highways or other rights-of-way over distances of up to 500 miles. The featured caterer was Amedeo's.

September - EMCID Developments & Updates presented by Urgent Doc 

The September Luncheon's presenting sponsor was Urgent Doc and our speaker was Frank McCrady. With 30 years of experience in economic development and banking, Frank McCrady has spent 18 of those years as President and CEO of the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID), strategically elevating the area to a community ready for growth. The featured caterer was The Hometown Chef Catering Co.

August - Cyber Security - Ransomware Luncheon Presented By Cyber One Solutions 

The August Luncheon's presenting sponsor was Cyber One Solutions and our speaker was James Morrison. James Morrison joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in December 2019 from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Distinguished Technologist - Cyber Security in the office of the North America CTO. The featured caterer was In House Chefs.

July - The American Innovation Lunch  presented by First Financial Bank

The July Luncheon's presenting sponsor was First Financial Bank and our speaker was Major General Rich C. Staats. Major General (MG) Rich Staats is the Commanding General for the 75th Innovation Command, responsible for leveraging the civilian education, skills, experience and certifications resident in the US Army Reserve. As a two-star general command, the 75th is the senior military headquarters in the fourth largest city in the U.S. as well as in the surrounding region. The featured caterer was Texas Roadhouse.

June - Grand Slam Power Luncheon presented by Entergy

The June Luncheon's presenting sponsor was Entergy and our speaker was Twila Carter of the Astros Foundation. Twila Carter entered her seventh season as Senior Vice President of Community Affairs and Executive Director of the Astros Foundation. She made the transition to baseball in 2011 with Jim Crane’s purchase of the Astros franchise and has worked with The Crane Group in various capacities since 1998. The featured caterer was All Star Catering Company.

May - Healthy Workplace Lunch presented by Kingwood Emergency Hospital

And, we're back - We're getting Back to Business with our regularly scheduled monthly luncheons! Presented by Kingwood Emergency Hospital, our guest speaker was Danny Signorelli of the Signorelli Company providing exciting updates on the progress of Valley Ranch and what's to come. Our featured caterer was El Tiempo Cantina - Kingwood.

March - Healthy Workplace Lunch presented by Kingwood Emergency Hospital

February - The Legacy Luncheon Presented by Neal Building Group

Our first luncheon of 2020 was well attended to kick off a full year of events as we celebrate 30 years for our chamber. The Legacy Luncheon was presented by The Neal Building Group with keynote speaker Dr. Katherine Persson, President of Lone Star College-Kingwood. Attendees enjoyed a filet & shrimp lunch from Featured Caterer LongHorn Steakhouse of Humble that started with passed hors d'oeuvres and ended with a choice of delicious desserts. One lucky winner at each table received gifts from our CenterPrize Sponsor Memorial Hermann Northeast.

2019 Luncheons

December - A Futuristic Forecast Luncheon

Thank you to all who attended the last luncheon of the year! The speaker was Jesse Thompson, Senior Business Economist at The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas - Houston Branch. The table sponsor was RE/MAX Heritage, and the featured caterer was Chachi's Mexican Restaurant.

November - A Seat with the Senate Luncheon

Thank you to everyone who attended the November luncheon! The speaker was Texas Senator Brandon Creighton, the table sponsor was Woodforest Bank, and the featured caterer was The Hometown Chef Catering Co.!

October - Helping of Hope Luncheon

The Helping of Hope Luncheon's speaker was David Maulsby with Camp Hope, and his guest speaker was Zack Alexander. The table sponsor was Kingwood Emergency Hospital, and the catering was provided by A Grand Affair. Thank you to all who attended or participated; we hope to see you at the next one!

September - No Luncheon Does More

September's luncheon speaker was H-E-B President Scott McClelland, the table sponsor was Mission Northeast, and the featured caterer was Amedeo's Italian Restaurant. Thank you to all who attended and made this a great luncheon, and thank you EMCID for your continued support!

August - Cyber Security Lunch

The August Cyber Security Lunch's speaker was James Morrison of the FBI, the table sponsor was Kingwood PC Repair, and the catering was provided by La Casita Mexican Restaurant.

July - Frank McCrady

The July speaker was President/CEO of EMCID Frank McCrady, the table sponsor was Entergy, the catering was provided by Triple A Cookers, and the special guest was Boudreaux himself.

June - Frank Billingsley

The speaker was KPRC Channel 2's Frank Billingsley, the table sponsor was ServiceMaster, and catering was provided by LongHorn Steakhouse.

May - Reid Ryan

The May speaker was Reid Ryan, President of the Houston Astros, the table sponsor was Clubs of Kingwood, and the catering was provided by Fish Tales.

April - David Hagy

The luncheon's speaker was Texas Central Railroad Regional Vice President, External Affairs David Hagy, the room sponsor was First Financial Bank, and catering was provided by Triple A Cookers.

March - Maurice "Termite" Watkins

At the March Luncheon we got to hear from the one and only Maurice "Termite" Watkins and his boxing student Evan Holyfield, son of Evander Holyfield! Accurate Home Services was the table sponsor, and catering was provided by LongHorn Steakhouse.

February - County Judge Mark Keough

This luncheon was a great way to start off the new year! The speaker was Montgomery County County Judge Mark Keough, the table sponsor was the Rotary Club of East Montgomery County, and the catering was provided by The Home Town Chef.
