New Caney, TX – Speedsportz Racing Park at Grand Texas will host two season finale Regional Races next month. The Texas ProKart Challenge will hold a Double-Header Race the weekend of October 13th and the Texas Sprint Racing Series will have their final race of the season the weekend of October 27th.
The Texas ProKart Challenge is part of the Superkarts USA platform featuring IAME powerplants with racers as young as 8 years old. This regional series will finish their season with backto- back races and this years' Champions crowned Sunday afternoon. Speedsportz former Track Crew member, Brett Mitchell, who left for A&M in August has a commanding lead in the X30 Senior class and is looking to secure his #1 Number Panel for the 2018 season.
The Texas Sprint Racing Series was founded by a local racing family looking to provide an
affordable and exciting platform for regional 4-stroke racers. It predominately features Briggs & Stratton engines, as well as the two-stroke IAME power-plants, with racers aged 8 and older. The Sprint Series will conclude their 2017 Championship with an award presentation at the end of the weekend.
Admission is free to both races with a nominal admission fee for pit area access. The pit access gives spectators a behind-the-scenes look in to the world of performance kart racing. These races will feature the most elite kart racers in Texas with the series champions going on to race at the National level in 2018.
