Kingwood Medical Center hosted the community for a Ladies' Lunch and Learn, to raise awareness of new procedures in daVinci Robotic Surgery.

In April 1994, Yvonne Griffin's husband, Kenneth passed away. He had been a patient of Kingwood Medical Center 12 times in a 2 ½ year period. They were both so pleased with the care he received, and the people they encountered, that they discussed the possibility of her volunteering after he passed away. That was over 22 years ago.
